About the recognition stripes
From Cambrai onward, British tanks carried broad white-red-white bands on the unditching rails and horns so that infantry and aircraft could tell them apart from captured machines running in German service. Each band on Sheet 4 is cut to the taper of the horn, so it wraps without fighting the curve. Sheet 1 includes four of the same bands if you only need one tank's worth.
Captured Mk IVs
The Germans recovered dozens of British tanks after Cambrai and put the serviceable ones back into the line as Beutepanzer, repainted with German crosses and given German names. Sheets 2 and 3 let you build one: a Mk IV hull wearing an iron cross and a crew number in a colored disc.
Printed on 101.6 × 50.8 mm (4″ × 2″) sheets. Also available in 28mm and 20mm.
