UK BAOR - Tactical Signs, 1970s, Armoured Squadrons, 20mm
UK BAOR - Tactical Signs, 1970s, Armoured Squadrons, 20mm
Decals for UK British Army of the Rhine (BAOR) tactical signs for armoured squadrons in the 1970s. These are more logical than the 1980s. In the 80's, the British Armoured units used a simplified system very different than the 1970s. Please note that these armoured squadron decals are also used for the Medium Recce (Scorpion) SQNs! Therefore, there won't be another product page for the Med. Recce for 1970s.
Each Squadron (A, B, C, D) has their own symbol shape, with the colors representing seniority.
- 1 Troop: Starts with the number "1"
- 2 Troop: Starts with the number "2"
- Command Vehicles are 1A,B,C; 2A,B,C, etc.
For example, a triangle with "12" inside is for 1st Squadron, 2nd Troop Leader. A Square with "13B" inside is the B Squadron 3rd Troop Corporal.
